I was born in Belfast in 1959 and worked for years in a drawing office. I discovered Castlerock after a school trip to Derry in 1968 and after many holidays during the 70,s I felt its isolation and wild moorland coupled with its history would be a great place to paint. 

I decided to give up my job and I moved to Castlerock in 1987 to paint full time.
